Keven Huckaby

Lead Pastor

Keven has been serving as the Lead Pastor of Ridgeview since July of 2019. He spent 20 years here previously as part of the support staff, starting out as our Youth Pastor in 1992. He left in 2012 to become the Lead Pastor in Dinuba, Ca. He is incredibly blessed by the opportunity to return to Bakersfield to pastor his home church. He married the love of his life and God’s greatest blessing, Heidi, in 1990. They have 4 children, 2 by birth and 2 by adoption and over 50 heart children from their 20+ years of doing foster care. Keven is passionate about challenging people to deepen their walk with God and not settle for anything less than the best that God has for them. He believes deeply in accountability and connectedness through the building of relationships within the church. His verse to live by is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your path”. In his limited free time he loves spending time with his wife, hunting, riding his Harley, doing jigsaw puzzles and watching his 3 favorite sports teams: The Dodgers, Lakers, and Seahawks!

Carl Wren

Pastor of Children's Ministries

Carl has served in Children's Ministry for over 25 years. He loves to reach children and families for God, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in a relevant and exciting way He believes that we must reach one child at a time showing unconditional love of Christ and by speaking solid truth of God's Word that will bring a permanent change from within them. Carl is originally from Arvin, CA but has lived in San Diego, Phoenix, and Lubbock, TX over the years. His family includes his wife Kristi, who joins him in ministry, his three grown sons, and three grandchildren. Carl and Kristi returned back to Kern County in spring of 2018 where Carl serves Ridgeview as it's newest pastor. "Do not change yourself to be like the people of the world. But be changed within by a new way of thinking." Romans 12:2

Wally Yeager

Associate Pastor

Pastor Wally grew up in Yucaipa California and met Susan at Redlands Church of the Nazarene. Wally and Susan, along with their four boys have served in Clinton IL., Dothan AL., Clovis NM., Murrieta CA., and Gladewater TX. before coming to RCC. Wally and Susan are passionate about loving people and growing in relationship with them. They enjoy being with family and watching movies and anything that's has to do with Disney. They have four boys and a daughter in law (soon to be two). Of you are wanting to hangout and have a bowl of ice-cream stop by and see the family. Wally would spend every day at Disneyland if he thought he could get away with it. #Godismadinlovewhichyou

Moises Amador

Pastor of Spanish Ministries

Moises has served as the lead pastor of the Spanish congregation since 2013 and has served for more than 20 years in the areas of church music and youth ministry. Moises was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where he met and married his wife, Kari, currently a fifth-grade teacher at Golden Oak Elementary in Shafter. Moises and Kari have been married for 11 years and have 2 children, Caleb (9) and Lidia (7), and two energetic dogs. The Amadors have lived in Bakersfield since 2008 and are blessed to minister to the Hispanic community.

Donny Merchant

Pastor of Worship Arts

Pastor Donny was born and raised in the central valley and first began pastoring in Modesto CA in 2016. He and his wife Sarah have been married since 2020 and are very excited and happy to be at Ridgeview Church leading worship, working with youth and meeting with young families. Pastor Donny is currently a District Licensed Minister and is working on ordination, after receiving a Bachelors in Psychology, he is now attending NNU for a Masters in Pastoral Ministry. When Pastor Donny is not at the church you may find him at his other office Buffalo Wild Wings or find him at the movie theater seeing the latest super hero movie or even kicking back playing video games.
